Introduction

Welcome to the physical fanlisting for Jack Bristow, played by Victor Garber, from the spy sci-fi drama Alias. Jack Bristow has the most amazing voice. He can be sarcastic, or caring and only through repetitive watching (well listening) can you hear the difference. I find that incredible, it totally suits the character. It's the same with his face, it's schooled in an impassive poker face nearly all the time but if you watch carefully enough you can see his expression shift slightly to show annoyance, impatience, irritation, anger, fear, love etc. This again is in keeping with his character. Everything Jack does is for his daughter, no matter the pain to himself. For twenty years he kept the illusion that her mother was Laura Bristow, a literature professor who loved her family, even though it must have hurt to have Sydney idolise her mother after she betrayed him. Later after Sydney found out that he killed Irina he kept quiet and suffered her anger rather than tell her what he thought was the truth, that Irina had put out a hit on Sydney's life. He exposed himself to deadly radiation in order to save her life, he gave himself up in The Box (Season One) so that Sydney wouldn't be captured. He killed a CIA agent (Haldecki) to protect Sydney's double agent status so that she would be safe, he had an SD-6 operative killed for the same reason. He even died for her, so that she could live without the shadow of Arvin Sloane over her life. Although I do think that wasn't the best ending but then in my head Irina wasn't evil and Jack and Irina got a happy ending (well as happy as two spies can get anyway). Ok, I'm going slightly off the point. Jack Bristow is an amazing character and quite possibly my favourite in the Alias universe.
